About Our Consultations
What is a Consult?
At Landerholm Immigration, a consultation is your opportunity to present your case and determine what legal advice is needed and what strategies and options you have to fix your immigration situation in the United States. If you want to work with our legal team, it all starts with the consultation.
What Does A Consult At Landerholm Immigration Cost?
An initial consult at Landerholm Immigration, APC currently costs $350. Though we sometimes offer discounts to listeners of our podcast, and subscribers to our newsletter!
Who Will Be In My Consult?
Our consults typically have two people from the office: (1) An Attorney and (2) a Director of Legal Services. We find that working together in a team, we can produce the best strategies and receive the best results for you.
What Happens During a Consult ?
After reviewing your legal situation in the U.S., a lawyer presents you with possible strategies to help you obtain legal status in the country as fast and plausible as your potential case allows. Advice regarding what next steps and in which order these should occur to have a successful immigration case. The consult ends with a detailed plan and the costs the strategy entails. At this stage, the client decides if they whish to take that path or not. If so, the client is free to sign our representation agreement and hire our firm's services.
What is a Video Consult?
Can I have my Consultation over video? Yes. Our consultations can be done in - office, through video or through phone.
What is the Difference Between Video Consults and Regular Consults?
They both offer the same quality and expertise Attorneys and Paralegals at Landerholm Immigration have to offer. The only difference is that one may occur remotely with the client not being forced to take the consultation at the Oakland office and instead take it wherever they are.
Why is Now the Right Time?
In our experience, immigration laws keep getting more and more complex and sometimes waiting for a future immigration reform or for the laws to become easier is a serious mistake. Generally, if you are eligible for a legal pathway right now, it is often wise to take advantage of it while you have it. Talk to our attorneys in your consultation for specific advice.
What Types Of Immigration Matters Do You Handle?

What is a Case Evaluation and How Much Does It Cost?
Our "Case Evaluation " is a phone conversation with a trained Intake Specialist (not an attorney ) to help determine whether or not your situation is one that our attorneys can give advice about. These phone evaluations are free. At the end, if you decide to book a paid consultation, you will have the opportunity to do so.
Is Your Firm Going To Take My Case If I Schedule The Consultation?
All our potential callers are important to our firm. One of the best ways to be 100% sure you have an eligible case is completing a consultation. Our firm is willing to take all cases, if we are all in agreement, and good fits for each other. The immigration system journey is complex, and we want full cooperation on both sides to end victoriously, it only takes a consultation to find out.
Should I Hire an Attorney to Handle My Immigration Case Instead of Handling It Myself?
Immigration law is (unfortunately) designed to be very complex. We have seen that the slightest mistakes on an application could cause your case to be rejected, delayed or denied. Filing your case without the help of immigration experts can end up costing you more money, time and in some situations, it can endanger your status in the US.
Should I Wait Until My Son/Daughter Is 21 Years Old To Schedule A Consultation?
No, it is always best to be one step ahead of everything. We have cases where certain necessary documents take longer than expected. As such, best practice is to consult with a legal representative and develop a plan to achieve your immigration goals as early as you can in the process.
