Raul Martinez
About
Raul and his family first moved to Conroe, Texas from Mexico when he was only a few months old. He has experienced first-hand what it’s like to be an immigrant in the United States and how nerve -wracking it is dealing with USCIS.
In 2012, Raul became a DACA recipient and started his journey to helping other immigrants like himself. As a member of Phi Theta Kappa, he volunteered at many DACA seminars hosted by Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he also obtained a B.A. Degree in Political Science and a Minor in the Spanish Language. He later obtained a Paralegal Studies Certificate and has worked at several immigration law firms as Paralegal, Legal Assistant, and Case Manager.
Raul is currently in his last year of law school at the University of Texas - Austin, and plans to obtain his law degree in 2024. He attributes his perseverance and work ethic to his immigrant parents who sacrificed so much to give their children a shot at a better life.
Raul’s favorites are: Legally Blonde (Movie), Crazy Rich Asians Series (Book), and Taylor Swift. He enjoys spending time with his husband and son, a good read, and a challenging TikTok trend.
